BBQ at Adam and Carly's

Adam needed two 'guinea pigs' for him to practice his skills on the BBQ so guess who got volunteered!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, we had a lovely time with them, the food was cooked to perfection and we were able to stay in the garden for a very short time as it got cold. I am sorry about the red eye that poor little Maddie seems to have in the pictures but I don't know how to get rid of the red bits. Anyway, she isn't scary even if the pictures seem to show her as 'evil', she is very cute and now smiles a lot and even is trying to talk, all I can say is, watch out Carly you will have competion in the not so distance future.

I forgot to put the picture on so here it is.

Adam Jamie and kids

This is a picture of Jamie with her young man, Adam and his children Todd and Yas, it was taken at his mum's 60th birthday party. Todd is 9 nearly 10 and Yas is 8.

Surprise 60th birthday

Whilst with Jamie, we went to her Adam's mother's 60th birthday party, it was meant to be a surprise but she knew the week before that it was happening but didn't say anything to any of her boys. It was a lovely evening and it was good to meet Adam's parents, brothers, sister in laws and all the little children they have between them. Again, the sun shone until the darkness started and I think everyone enjoyed themselves.

Easter with Jamie

We spent three days with Jamie in Devon and had a great time, the weather was very kind to us and the sun shone, just a bit chilly in the breeze. We spent a day at Bicton Park Botanical gardens, its the first time Colin and I have been there. The house itself is now a horticultural and agricultural college and also does the vet nurse training which is where Jamie did her training from. Anyway, Colin dragged us onto the little train that went round part of the park which is worrying, I think he is a secret 'anorak man' and wanted to go on the train really.

On the way back to Jamie's house we stopped off at a garden centre and bought some roses, (not the chocolate variety).

New pots and plants

Well, spring has sprung in the Hardy garden and new editions are now up and running. We have two lovely bay trees in new pots and I have transferred my acer into a larger pot, we also have a new tree (the name of it escapes me at the moment) which has been put in the place of our dead lilac tree, just hope this one survives. The grass has been cut, but lots have moss have decided to make their home in our garden, little do they know it won't be for long as the lawn feed/moss killer will be put down later this week!!!!
Hope everyone had a good easter, we did.

Maddie

This was Maddie a week and half ago. I had her for the day and we went shopping, needless to say, even for a nearly four month old she kept asking nana to buy sweets or toys for her, I had to be quite firm with her and said a hat was all she was getting!!! I had a great day with her and love having her each week. She is growing quite well and now smiles which is so lovely.

I know I am biased, but I do think she is rather beautiful.
